The Variety Kids Water Park in Stanley Park in Vancouver is a large free outdoor spray water park that is a great place for children to have fun and get wet! It is open during the summer months. It has lots of different fixtures that shoot water up in the air or on you. There are no lifeguards so parents need to supervise their children. There is a large rock structure, called the Fox's Den, that children can go into and crawl on!
Dates open: June 1 to September 1
Times open: 10am to 6pm
This is a great place to take children during the summer to cool off and have some fun. The Lumbermen's Arch food concession is close by and there are some picnic tables and a large grass area where you can picnic. There are washrooms nearby also.
Prior to the water park being built in 1987, there was a sea-water filled swimming pool at this location for about 50 years.
