Every year there are Roads and Stanley Park Seawall closures in Stanley Park for events, street maintenance, and weather issues.

March 25-28, 2024: Daily 7am-3pm: Seawall Closure between Third Beach and Prospect Point for installation of netting.
There are still ongoing Road, Trail, and Seawall closures in March 2024 in Stanley Park for the work being done as part of the Stanley Park Forest Management project.
The work impacting the Stanley Park Causeway is complete now so it should not be affected anymore.
There will still be intermittent delays on trails and roadways throughout Stanley Park during March. This is for large machinery access to main roads and trails for the overhead tree work that is underway. Please expect delays and plan ahead!

March 16, 2024 Some roads will be closed for the BMO St. Patrick's Day 5K run:
There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in April in Stanley Park for the Vancouver Sun Run.
April 21, 2024 8am-11am - Car and Bus access to Stanley Park will be extremely limited or non-existent in the morning due to the Vancouver Sun Run.
Note: Although the Sun Run doesn't actually go into Stanley Park, it will affect access to the park. The Sun Run runners will run down Georgia Street(closed from 8am-11am), then turn left onto Denman Street(closed from 8am-11am), then onto Beach Ave(closed from 8am-11:30am).
So, when the runners are running, both the Georgia Street and Beach Ave entrances to Stanley Park will essentially be unavailable until all the runners have passed. There are numerous other road closures in Vancouver in the morning for this race.
There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in May in Stanley Park for the BMO Vancouver International Marathon.
There aren't normally Road and Seawall closures in January in Stanley Park, however parts of the seawall may be closed due to weather.

There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in April in Stanley Park for the Vancouver Sun Run.
There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in May in Stanley Park for the BMO Vancouver International Marathon.
Most of the Roads in Stanley Park are open for driving except for Stanley Park Drive next to Ceperley Park so you still need to exit Stanley Park via North Lagoon Drive onto Georgia Street. Most of the temporary bicycle lane has been removed except for the above mentioned section. The tour bus parking is back at Prospect Point.
There is work being done on Pipeline Road just north of the Rose Garden. There is a detour in place via Rose Garden Lane.
There are also normally only Road and Seawall closures in June in Stanley Park on the Seawall for charity walks such as the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and the Annual World Partnership Walk.
There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in July in Stanley Park for events such as Walk with the Dragon, Rotary Ride for Hearing and the Celebration of Light Fireworks and Festival.
There are normally only Road and Seawall closures in August in Stanley Park for events such as the Vancouver Pride parade.
There are Road and Seawall closures in September in Stanley Park for large events such as the Vancouver Triathlon, RBC Gran Fondo Whistler, and the new Great Outdoors Comedy Festival.
There will be numerous intermittent closures of roads, trails, and the seawall over a few weeks at the end of October 2023 due to the removal of dead trees that have been affected by the Looper Moth outbreak and years of drought. Following are the closures:

Note: There won't be any roads closed for the Polar Bear Swim, but traffic around English Bay will be terrible so we advise that you park away from English Bay and walk/transit into the event.
January 14, 2024 8am-2pm -1 lane of the Stanley Park Causeway and Lions Gate Bridge will be closed.
January 15, 2024 to January 19, 2024 - The Stanley Park Seawall between Prospect Point and Third Beach will be closed MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS for annual slope stabilization and maintenance work. Third Beach will remain open.
January 21, 2024 8am-2pm -1 lane of the Stanley Park Causeway and Lions Gate Bridge will be closed.
January 27, 2024 8am-2pm -1 lane of the Stanley Park Causeway and Lions Gate Bridge will be closed.

There aren't normally too many Road and Seawall closures in February in Stanley Park, however 2024 is different! There is a lot of work going on removing dead trees so there are lots of closures.
