There are Free Outdoor Movies in Stanley Park on Tuesday nights during July and August each year.  It is called the Summer Cinema and is sponsored by EVO car share.

The movies are projected onto a 40 foot giant screen is erected in Ceperley field in Ceperley Park in Stanley Park.

Each week a different movie is shown on Tuesday night at sunset during July and August.

This is a family event so there is no alcohol or smoking allowed.

Here is a sample of what it is like at the weekly movie.

There is FREE seating on the grass in Ceperley field for 5000 people.  Bring a blanket and/or lawn chair.  This seating is first-come, first-serve so get there early if you want a seat closer to the screen.

There is also a 200 seat reserved seating section at the front of the grass area in front of the screen consisting of adirondak chairs which you can reserve online.

You can also have the chance to win VIP seat upgrades on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the week prior to the movie night on the Nat and Drew morning radio show on MOVE 103.5 FM.

There are usually some food trucks nearby where you can purchase popcorn and and other food items.
