There are Free Outdoor Movies in Stanley Park on Tuesday nights throughout July and August each year.
Officially known as the Summer Cinema series and proudly presented by Evo Car Share, this highly popular community tradition brings cinema lovers together under the stars. A giant 40-foot inflatable movie screen is erected directly on the grass flats of Ceperley Field, located within the waterfront footprint of Ceperley Park.
Each week features a completely different blockbuster or cult-classic family feature that launches at sunset. Because this handles as a family-friendly community event, alcohol consumption and smoking are strictly prohibited across the grounds.

Seating Logistics & Reservations
General Admission Grass Seating (FREE): There is expansive free capacity space on the lawn of Ceperley Field matching up to 5,000 visitors per night. Guests are highly encouraged to bring their own blankets, cushions, or folding lawn chairs. Free lawn space is allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving multiple hours before twilight is advised to score clear views.
Reserved Front Row Seating (Paid): If you prefer to bypass the early rush, a premium 200-seat reserved tier sits arranged immediately in front of the projection layout. This designated section features premium wooden Adirondack chairs that you can block out online ahead of time.
